We grant free scholarships to the children studying in schools/ colleges to meet their expenses to uniform, books, tuition fees etc.
We are imparting job oriented free computer training to unemployed and economically backward students.
We are identifying such widows who are senior citizens needing help and grant them pension of Rs. 1,000/- per month.

Prior to the reorganization of states, a few families of Gowda Saraswath Brahmins lived in Bangalore particularly at Hanumanthnagar, Gandhibazar & Malleshwaram.
After 1956 there has been an influx of GSBs to Bangalore for business, to start industries and for employment particularly after the IT Industry started flourishing.
Gowda Saraswath Sevak Samaj was registered under the Karnataka Society´s Registration Act 1960 on 21-10-1978 at Bangalore with a membership of 69 including 7 life members. This was the culmination of prolonged deliberations by a band of energetic and enthusiastic Gowda Saraswath Brahmins residing in Rajajinagar, North Bangalore, who realized the need for a place to get together, where they would get to know their brethren closer, a body which could arrange religious and cultural programmes for the religious enrichment of the community and an organ which would devote itself to the noble cause of the upliftment of the impoverished, a forum for the overall benefit of the members, especially for those GSBs residing in North Bangalore.
G.S.S.S Charitable Foundation (Regd) was formed by the Gowda Saraswath Sevak Samaj, Malleswaram as an independent Unit and registered on 13th February 2008, dedicated to the service of the economically backward families in the society. It has completed a decade of dedicated service. Over the period, it has not only laid a firm foundation in the society in the areas of education, Job Oriented training, Social Services and premier Medical care at affordable rates, but also established credibility amongst the esteemed Doctors and the general public.
The Aims and Objectives of the society are
The Aim of the Foundation is among others, to focus on education and training of the economically backward. In urban Bangalore there are hundreds of families which are economically backward. To alleviate poverty, providing necessary education, professional guidance and imparting necessary training are of vital importance, to bring these families to the mainstream.
In sweet memory of the centenary Punyathithi of His Holiness Srimad Varadendra Thirta Swamiji, a Tailoring training unit was inaugurated on 25th April 2014 at the Premises of Sri Kashimatt, Malleswaram and the responsibility of managing the school has been taken by The Gowda Saraswath Mahila Vrinda.
Education has become very expensive these days. To lighten the burden of the students, we are issuing Text books on returnable basis and circulation for PUC, Degree, & Engineering courses..
We have started Training X Std (SSLC) students to prepare for NATIONAL TALENT SERACH EXAM (NTSE). Last year we HAVE GIVEN intensive 4 months training to 14 students to prepare for the same. All the students have come out with flying colors.
you are aware, we are amidst dire crisis of COVID-19. Thousands have become destitutes overnight. We also don't know how far this crisis will continue. It is imperative on our part at least to protect the Interest of our Samaj Bandhavas in Bengalore who are in distress in this hour of need.
The Gowda Saraswath Sevak Samaj has therefore opened "SEVAK SAMAJ APATH NIDHI" to give one time financial assistance of Rs.3000 per family in distress. This will be remitted on-line shortly.
